RETAILER NOTES / RED SEA IMPORTS

A practical sourcing guide for independent retailers

Prepare a clearer Middle Eastern wholesale inquiry: define your assortment, compare units, review product details and confirm delivery before ordering.

Start with what the store needs

Separate restocking from testing a new line. For a repeat purchase, record the exact brand, item and pack size already on your shelf. For a new line, describe the customer need and the shelf space you can allocate. This helps you ask specific questions without guessing a large opening quantity.

Compare like-for-like quantities

A unit price and a case price describe different things. Before comparing quotations, write down the retail unit size, number of units in a case and total quantity you are discussing. Confirm minimum quantities for the item rather than assuming every brand uses the same minimum. Ask which details on a quotation can change before confirmation.

Review the product, not just its logo

A familiar brand name does not identify the precise product specification. Ask for the relevant label information, ingredients for food items and date or storage information supplied with the product. For fragrance, confirm the exact name, volume and format. If information is missing, leave the item open for discussion instead of filling the gap with an assumption.

Make the inquiry easy to answer

Send your business name, city and state, requested brands or items and approximate quantities. Explain whether you are replenishing an existing selection or planning a new one. Red Sea Imports can then discuss availability, pricing and delivery arrangements for the inquiry. A submitted inquiry is a conversation starter, not an accepted order or inventory reservation.
