RETAILER NOTES / RED SEA IMPORTS
Sourcing spices and pantry mixes with confidence
What to clarify when sourcing spices, mixes and food improvers: exact item names, label details, retail packs and case quantities for your store.
Name each item separately
A request for spices can cover single ingredients, blends and very different uses. Make a line for each item and add its brand if known. For mixes and improvers, include the product’s exact name and intended application. Do not substitute one item merely because its packaging looks similar.
Ask the label questions early
Request ingredients and allergen information for the specific product, together with any supplied directions. These details matter when a customer asks about a blend or how an improver is used. A brand overview cannot replace the information on the exact pack, and an unfamiliar name is a reason to ask more questions.
Choose quantities around your shelf
Write down your preferred retail size and estimated need for each line. Ask for the wholesale unit and case configuration before comparing quotations. Review date and storage information supplied for the product, then use your own sales history and shelf space to decide what quantity to discuss.
Keep open questions visible
If an item’s ingredients, format or case quantity have not been confirmed, mark that point in the inquiry. A clear list lets you compare the response against your original needs. Browse the pantry and spices collection and send the team the names you want to explore; availability and commercial details are confirmed through direct conversation.
